The concept for Naples Nantucket Yacht Group (NNYG) was born in 2005 while chartering off the island Jost Van Dyk in the crystal blue waters of the British Virgin Islands.  The company Founder, Captain Bill Charbonneau, was inspired to find a way to share his passion for boating and provide a superior opportunity for clients to experience yachting on the waters of Southwest Florida. The plan for NNYG, a luxury boutique yacht charter company was drafted on the back of a beverage napkin with the help of a ‘Painkiller’ (or two) from Foxy’s.

Like many small businesses, NNYG was founded with high aspirations and humble beginnings just a short time later in November 2006. Captain Bill and his Formula 37’ offered half day and full day charters in the waters off the coast of Naples, FL. We were (and still are) known for our meticulous attention to detail and for ensuring that each guest receives the same level of service expected and delivered by the finest hotels & resorts in the world. A dedication to providing every guest who came on board the most memorable day of their life and an experience larger than the boat. It is our belief that it’s the little things which add up to be the most important things of all.

By 2010, functioning under the name Fly Ride Charters, NNYG had built a quality reputation in the Naples community, had a growing fleet not only in number of yachts available, but also in the size of the yachts, ranging from 40’ to 80’.

As NNYG began to expand exponentially in size and geographic reach, it was time to re-brand and develop a sustainable long-term plan. In 2013, Naples Nantucket Yacht Group’s name was incorporated, and plans were made to expand charter services to beyond the Southwest Florida region to include the East Coast of Florida, the Bahamas, and the Northeast during the summer months.

As the charter business grew, NNYG expanded with a plethora of unique services including the formation of several Fractional Owner Partnerships on yachts ranging from 28’ – 131’.

Capt. Bill is joined in leading Naples Nantucket Yacht Group into its twentieth year by his wife, Jacquie.  She has been the Director of Operations for the past seven years, a native of Mexico City, and like Bill, an invaluable asset to the team, possessing a keen sense of business acumen, years of international travel and experience in the world of luxury yachting. Possibly most important of all, both share a love of the ocean and sharing precious memories that are unique to time spent with those special to us while at sea.
